14. Disposal and recycling
The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it
from being damaged in transit. The raw materials in
this packaging can be reused or recycled. The equip-
ment and its accessories are made of various types
of material, such as metal and plastic. Defective
components must be disposed of as special waste.
Ask your dealer or your local council.
Old devices must not be disposed of with house-
hold waste!
This symbol indicates that this product must
not be disposed of together with domestic
waste in compliance with the Directive
(2012/19/EU) pertaining to waste electrical
and electronic equipment (WEEE). This product must
be disposed of at a designated collection point. This
can occur, for example, by handing it in at an author-
ised collecting point for the recycling of waste elec-
trical and electronic equipment. Improper handling
of waste equipment may have negative consequenc-
es for the environment and human health due to po-
tentially hazardous substances that are often con-
tained in electrical and electronic equipment. By
properly disposing of this product, you are also con-
tributing to the effective use of natural resources.
You can obtain information on collection points for
waste equipment from your municipal administration,
public waste disposal authority, an authorised body
for the disposal of waste electrical and electronic
equipment or your waste disposal company.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries do not be-
long in the household waste!
As the consumer you are required by law to
bring all batteries and rechargeable batteries,
regardless whether they contain harmful sub-
stances* or not, to a collection point run by the local
authority or to a retailer, so that they can be disposed
of in an environmentally friendly manner.

Air filter
Frequently cleaning of the air filter prevents carbure
-
tor malfunction.
Clean the air filter and change air filter inserts

The air filter should be cleaned every 30 hours.
• Remove the engine cover (g)

Clean the filter elements with soapy water. After
rinse the filter elements with clear water and allow
to dry thoroughly before refitting.

use gasoline or cleaning solvents with a low
flash point to clean the air filter element. A fire or ex
-
plosion could result.
Note
Never run the engine without or with a damaged air
filter. Dirt gets so into the engine, causing serious en
-
gine damage can occur. In this case, seller, and man-
ufacturer disassociate from any warranty.
Change the diesel filter (Fig. 7)
Changing the diesel filter The diesel filter must be
changed if impurities can be seen. To change the
filter and collect diesel in tank you prepare a funnel
and an empty diesel canister. Loosen the metal hoop
on the both sides of the filter. Immediately insert the
fuel hose into the diesel canister through the funnel
and observe the diesel flow until no diesel outflows.
Remove the filter with impurity and abandon it. Install
a new filter.
Draining the tank
• To drain the tank, proceed initially as if you were
“change the diesel filter”.

After removing the diesel filter, drain the diesel out
of the tank through the funnel and into the diesel
canister. (IMPORTANT: Ensure that the diesel can-
ister is large enough to hold all the diesel left in the
tank!).
• After the draining process has been completed, re-
assemble the device as described in “Change the
diesel filter”.

Important note in case of repair:
When returning the generator for repair, for safe-
ty reasons, ensure that it is
free of oil and petrol
when it is sent to the service centre.
