This chapter includes important reference
information to help you set up your DVD player.

Controlling VCRs, Cable Boxes (DBS),
and TVs

Your remote control operates the basic features
of most, but not all, models and brands of IR
(infrared) controlled VCRs, cable converters
(DBS), and TVs.

1. In the chart, find the code corresponding to

your brand of IR controllable device.

2. While holding down the TV, VCR, or CATV

button, enter the 3 number code with the 
(0 - 9) buttons.

Some manufacturers have more than one code
number. If the remote control does not operate
the VCR, Cable box (DBS), or TV after setting a
code number, try a different code.
