Operation and functioning of the maker
Before using the sandwich maker for the first time:
remove all packaging,
●
check that the voltage specified on the appliance is
●
compliant with the mains voltage,
clean the appliance by wiping its outside and inside
●
surfaces with a damp cloth o paper towel,
turn it on for 15 minutes so as to remove all residue from
●
the manufacturing process; next switch the sandwich
maker off and allow it to cool.
In further operation of the sandwich maker:
place it on a dry, flat surface near a mains socket,
●
insert the plug of the connecting cord into the mains
●
socket (the red control lamp will come on),
please wait until the green control lamp comes on (it takes
●
about 3–4 minutes) which means that the heating plates
have reached the appropriate temperature for preparing
sandwiches,
open the sandwich maker,
●
take an about 1 cm thick, buttered (or smeared with
●
another type of fat) slice of toasting bread and place
it buttered side down on the lower heating plate of the
sandwich maker,
place filling on the slice of bread,
●
cover the filling with another slice of bread, buttered
●
side up,
carefully close the sandwich maker; in case it is difficult
●
to close the sandwich maker, remove excess filling; the
sandwich maker should not close with difficulty as it may
cause damage to it,
after a few minutes (toasting time depends on the type of
●
recipe or user’s preferences), open the sandwich maker
and take out the toasted; when taking the out of the
sandwich maker, be careful not to:
burn yourself (the heating plates of the sandwich
●
maker are hot),
damage the teflon coating on the heating plates
●
– use wooden or plastic cutlery resistant to high
temperatures,
when the toasting is finished, turn the sandwich maker
●
off by unplugging the plug of the connecting cord from
the socket.
When consuming es immediately after they
have been toasted, be careful not to burn
yourself, as the es or the filling may be hot.
Cleaning and maintenance of the sandwich
maker
The sandwich maker does not require special
●
maintenance.
The sandwich maker should be kept and stored clean, as
●
it has contact with food.
Before you start cleaning the sandwich maker, remove
●
the plug of the connecting cord from the socket and allow
the appliance to cool down completely.
First, wipe the sandwich maker with a soft damp cloth,
●
and next dry it up with a soft clean cloth.
Do not use any detergents which might scratch or
●
damage the external surfaces or the teflon coating of the
heating plates.
Remove all the accumulated crumbs and leftovers from
●
the heating plates of the sandwich maker before every
use.
