Switch on the microscope illuminator with
the power switch (4/

) on the front panel of
the lamp power supply; the burner starts
automatically.
The HBO 50 microscope illuminator is to be
adjusted in two steps: coarse adjustment
(without adjusting aid) and subsequent fine
adjustment by means of the adjusting aid on
the microscope.

Wear UV protective eyewear in adjustment
without adjusting aid to protect the eyes from
exposure to UV radiation!

Direct the light beam onto a projection
surface (e.g. bright wall) that is at least 3 m
away.
