Enable KLV Metadata Multiplex Mode via the RS232 Port
(1)
To receive KLV metadata via the RS232 port on the back panel of the DME-10-G.
Set the Output
Format as UDP and set KLV Enable to True.
Set KLV Mode to SERIAL and the KLV Serial Baud Rate to
the rate of the device feeding the KLV metadata.
Our example assumes 9600 baud.
To use the
RS232 port set int KLV Source to /dev/ttyAMA0.
KLV has two multiplex modes and the DME-10-G
supports both.
Synchronous mode includes a timestamp in each TS packet while Asynchronous does
not.
Choose based on the expectation of your decoder (many support both).
The settings below
reflect those discussed above:
