Antenna Alignment Tool
Under Peer-to-Peer (CSMA) mode, Antenna Alignment Tool is available. This function helps to point in
the approximate direction of the remote R1 Extender antenna and assist user easily align the local
antenna to reach maximum signal strength.

To use “
Antenna Alignment Tool
”, follow the steps bellow:
Open
“
Peer-to-Peer Setup
”, by clicking “
Align Antenna
” button, “
Antenna Alignment Tool
”
window will popup.
Set the target RSSI (e.g. -70dBm) and click “
Start
” button.
Wait about 5 seconds, the antenna alignment starts and performs alignment every one second.
Fix the local antenna and adjust the remote antenna elevation and horizontal direction. During
the adjustment, observe “
Current RSSI
” in local R1 Extender. The value will refresh every 1
second. Fix the remote antenna when it reaches your expectation. Usually, RSSI between -60
and -70dBm indicates rather good signal strength.

RSSI
” in the remote R1 Extender. Fix the local antenna when it reaches your expectation.
