6.1.5 Sanitary Installation

EHEDG compliant installation

In order to comply with the requirements of the European Hygienic Engineering and De-
sign Group (EHEDG), the following aspects need to be considered:

▶

The installation must ensure a self-draining of the device (see figure below). A vertical
installation is recommended.

▶

An EHEDG compliant process connection requires a combination of process
connections and gaskets according to the latest version of the EHEDG Position Pa-
per: "Easy cleanable Pipe couplings and Process connections".
