4.6 Mounting the Flushing
Connection Ring
4.6.1 Mounting to Pressure Detector
Section
The flushing connection ring is mounted to high
pressure side pressure detector section as shown
in Figure 4.5.
At the factory shipment, the flushing connection ring
is already assembled and attached to high pressure
side process detector section.

(1) Mount the ring holder on the ring and loosely
tighten the mounting screws.
(2) Place the spiral gasket in the ring groove. With
the ring correctly aligned and flush with the face
of the pressure detector, securely tighten each
ring holder’s mounting screws.
(3) Position the ring so that the vent/drain plugs are
aligned straight up and down.
4.6.2 Mounting to Process Flange
Tighten the bolts to completely close the gap
between the ring and the pressure detector section.
The mating flange, gasket, stud bolts and nuts are
to be procured by the customer.

IMPORTANT
• Confirm that there is no gap between the ring
and the process-detector section after they
are mounted on the process flange. A gap
can lead to a sudden, explosive release of
process fluids.
• When mounting or removing the ring,
take care not to tilt the pressure detector
downward as the ring can slip off and cause
injury.
• When re-mounting the ring, use the new
spiral gasket as shown in below table.
