Cleaning the Exterior of the Instrument
When removing dirt from the case or operation panel, remove the power cord from the power
outlet, then wipe gently with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use volatile chemicals since this might cause
discoloring and deformation.
Cleaning the Optical Output Section of the Internal Reference
Light Source
WARNING
The instrument has a built-in reference light source for alignment adjustments, and infrared
light is always being output from the optical output connector. Never look into the optical
output connector. Infrared light entering the eyes can cause severe injury and loss of vision.

Cleaning the Optical Connector Connection Section
It is recommended that the following cleaner be used for this procedure.
Recommended cleaner: “Cletop Stick Type” (NTT-ME)
1.
Open the optical connector cover at the front of the unit.
2.
Use the cleaner to clean the optical connector connection section.
3.
Insert the cleaner straight into the optical connector connection section and rotate it.
