TROUBLE SHOOTING

Dust from the units

Discharged air smells

Starting operation after not using for a 
longtime

During operation

Dust entered into the unit and blown 
out at re-starting. Clean filter and coil

This is caused by the odors in the room 
which have been left or kept on the 
filter or coil, clean the filter and coil

This is caused by the panel expanding 
or contracting due to temperature 
change in some structural parts

Cracking noise can be heard during or 
after operation

The unit does not
operate when

Mist is emitted

Outdoor unit is hot

Noise

Restart right after stopping

Press SET TEMP. and then release 
immediately.

Power is switched on

When cooling

After the unit is stopped

Buzz is heard at starting

Sound of hiss like running water can 
be heard during operation

A "shuh" sound which is heard at the 
start or immediately after the stop of 
operation or which is heard at the 
start or immediately after the stop of 
defrosting operation

A continuous low "shah" sound is 
heard when the system is in cooling 
operation or at a stop

Once the unit is stopped, it stays idle 
for about 3 minutes to protect the 
compressor and the unit from any 
potential damage

Wait for 1 minute

Room air is chilled rapidly and 
becomes foggy

Compressor is emitting heat to get 
ready for restarting

It's the starting sound of thermostat 
and will turn low after 1 minute

This is caused by the refrigerant 
flowing inside the unit

This is the noise of refrigerant caused 
by flow stop and flow change

The noise is heard when the drainage 
pump is in operation

No need to do anything
