OPERATION
SETTING AND RELEASING THE PARKING BRAKE (See Fig.12.)
To set the parking brake:
• Place the direction control switch in the neutral (N) position.
• Fully depress and hold the brake pedal.
• Fully depress and hold the parking pedal.
• Release the brake pedal.
• Release the parking pedal.
To release the parking brake:
• Depress and release the brake pedal.
WARNING!
Never leave the mower unattended when the product on or running. Verify that the parking pedal is
set and the key has been removed. Failure to set the parking pedal could cause the mower to move,
and leaving the key could allow unauthorized use that could result in serious personal injury.
ADJUSTING THE SEAT (See Fig.13.)
Adjust the seat position to ensure you are able to make firm contact with the accelerator and brake pedals
before operating the mower.
To move the seat:
• Sit down on seat and lift the seat adjustment lever.
• While holding the lever, slide the seat to the desired position.
• Release the lever and make sure the seat is locked in position before operating the mower.
To adjust the seat back
• Sit down on the seat, keep your back in contact with the seat back.
• Lift the adjusting handle and move the back to a desired position.
• Release the handle to lock the position.
WARNING!
Be sure the seat is locked into place before operating the mower. A seat that is not secure can
cause the operator to shift and lose control of the mower and result in possible death or serious
personal injury.
