ASSEMBLY
WARNING!
Do not start the engine until the saw is fully assembled.
WARNING!
Wear protective gloves at all times when handling the saw chain.
•
Firmly push the chain brake lever forward then pull it
back (towards the front handle) to make sure the chain
brake is released. Listen for an audible click as a sign
that the chain brake is unlocked.
•
Loosen and remove the bar retaining nuts by using with
combination wrench, then remove the clutch cover.
•
Place the bucking spike with the points facing up, into
position then locate the holes with the screws and
tighten firmly.
•
Slip the end of the chain bar under the edge of the clutch and then slot over the studs.
NOTE
the position of the saw chain tension adjuster hole (A)
in the chain bar. This hole will need to be lined up with the
tension adjustment pin when the clutch cover is refitted.
