Assembling the saw chain
As shown in Fig 3
WARNING!
Due to saw chain is very sharp,
Make sure wear protective gloves to prevent possible
personal injuries.
WARNING!
Ensure the direction of cutting teeth
must comply with the icon on the chain bar and the
symbol on the saw holder.
1. Unscrew the locking knob to remove the sprocket
cover.
2. Lay the chain saw blade on the saw bar.
3. Hold the assembled saw chain and bar
combination with one hand, using the other hand to lay the saw chain around the sprocket and
ensure it fully engaged with the sprocket, lastly lay the saw bar onto holder, ensure that the
raised ribs can well seated on the slot of the saw bar.
4. Hold the tip of the saw bar with one hand to prevent the saw chain from falling off;
5. Align the pin which locates at the bottom right corner Of the sprocket cover with the
corresponding hole On the motor housing. Then push it in. at this Moment, locking screw of the
sprocket cover Will enter into its corresponding hole. Gently tap the sprocket cover to let it get
close to the saw bar.
6. Turn the locking knob clock-wisely, when you feel sprocket cover can hold the saw bar by itself,
turn the external ring clock-wisely to tension the saw chain.
Tensioning the saw chain
As shown in Fig 4
Idea tension degree: The chain should not sag, but it
should be possible to lift it a few millimeters
away from the saw bar.
1. Loosen the locking knob so that the saw bar
can be moved back and forth.
2. To tighten the saw chain, turn the tension ring
clock wisely. To loosen the saw chain, turn the
external ring counter-clockwise.
3. Once you have adjusted the tension properly,
tighten the locking knob to hold the saw bar in place securely.
