4. Lift the drive unit by using the eye-bolt mounted
on the top cover.

2 – Plug-Bolt and Gasket (Remove)
NOTICE: As the drive unit is inserted into the bell
housing, the shift cable must be connected to the
jaws of the shift linkage assembly in the drive unit.
5. Pull the shift cable out as far as it moves by
hand.

6. Pull the slider (shift linkage) out as far as it goes
with a piece of wire.

7. Follow steps 1, 2 and 3 in
connect the cable to the slider (shift linkage).
