Table 6
(1) Normal differential feed (gathering)
Loosen the nut ① and move the differential lever(left)
② up or down to set it at the desired position. Tighten
the nut ① securely.
When the differential lever(left) is set at graduation
(Long) ③ , the ratio of main feed to differential feed is
1 : 1.
To obtain normal differential feed, raise the differential
lever(left) above the graduation ③ . The maximum ratio
of main feed to differential feed is 1 : 2.
(2) Reverse differential feed (stretching)
To obtain reverse differential feed, lower the differen-
tial lever(left) below the graduation ③ .
When it is set at “S” , the ratio of main feed to differ-
ential feed is 1 : 0.7.
(3) Adjustment of differential feed during operation
To adjust differential feed during operation, connect
the chain to the differential lever(left).
Fix Stop ④ (2pcs.) at the desired position to set up
-
per and lower limits between which the differential
lever(left) is moved up and down.
☆ Table 6 shows the range of differential ratio depending
on the stitch length.
