Periodic maintenance

2.

Use a flathead screw driver to pry out and remove
the spark arrester from the muffler.

3.

Remove the carbon deposits on the spark arrester
using a wire brush.

4.

Check the spark arrester.
Replace it if damaged.

5.

Install the spark arrester.

TIP

Align the spark arrester lump with the hole in the muf-
fler pipe.

6.

Install the screw, and then tighten the screw.
