USER DATA BACKUP (P-105B/P-105WH only)
P-105B/P-105WH
To backup user data to external devices, use the “Musicsoft Downloader”.
You can use the Musicsoft Downloader to transfer the user data stored on the instrument, to a computer.
Data that can be backed up

Musicsoft Downloader (MSD) *1

Install these software in PC beforehand.
BACKUP PROCEDURE
1. Turn off the power of P-105B/P-105WH.
2. End all the application software.
3. Exit from any power-saving mode of the computer (such as suspended, sleep, standby).
4. Connect the P-105B/P-105WH to the PC with an USB cable.
5. Turn on the power of P-105B/P-105WH.
6. Click the Control Panel on PC.
7. Click “USB-MIDI Driver” on the Control Panel to open the dialog box.
8. Remove the check from the check box next the word “Thru ON/OFF” in the dialog box.
9. Start up the Musicsoft Downloader.
10. If you click “Electronic Musical Instruments” in the Musicsoft Downloader display, and then “Flash Memory”, a file named
UserSong1.MID will appear in the lower right corner of the Musicsoft Downloader display.
This is the user song data. For details about how to transmit user song data using the Musicsoft Downloader application, refer to the
Online help in the application.
NOTE:
Preset Song data cannot be transmitted from the instrument.
While the computer is connected to the instrument, you should wait for six seconds or more between these operations: (1) when
turning the power of the instrument off then on again, or (2) when alternately connecting/disconnecting the USB cable.
•
The user song data will be overwritten every time you transmit or receive. Keep this in mind when transferring data.
• We recommend that you use a power adaptor rather than batteries when transferring data. The data can be corrupted if the
batteries fail during the transfer.
• Do not rename the user song data on the computer. If you do so, it will not be recognized when transferred to the
instrument.
