3. SHANK STOPPER HEIGHT adjustment: Use the stopper mounting bracket.
If the piano is producing acoustic sound during silent mode, or is failing to produce
acoustic sound under acoustic mode, first check the shank stopper angle. If the angle
is correct then proceed to adjust the bracket height as necessary. (For A1–C3 [start-
ing from about #5770000] and for C5 up, only bass-end or treble-end adjustment is
possible.)
4. REGULATING ROD ANGLE adjustment: Use the regulating-rod-lever adjustment screw.
Adjust the screw so that the jack knob hits the center of the regulating rod during
silent operation. (See Fig.2.)
This adjustment is not required on the MarkIII.
5. REGULATING ROD HEIGHT adjustment: Use the regulating-rod adjustment screws.
Adjust the screws so that during silent mode the regulating rod hits the jack knob at
the same time that the jack-tail hits the regulating button.
Adjusting µthe Regulating Rod Adjustment Screw (all models except MarkIII)
• Pull out the action and remove the hammer sensor
• Lift the hammers and insert a drop screwdriver between the repetition levers.
• Adjust the screws. (Two screws for each rod. See Fig. 2.)
MarkIII
• The MarkIII uses a newly designed regulating rod, with the regulating-rod adjustment screw
located on the front. The screw can be accessed directly from the front, so you can make the adjust-
ment without removing the action. (See Fig. 3.)
