Key sensor
1-beam continuous
Slowly depress key and confirm by listening to the buzzer. (Use headphones.)
Check:
• Confirm that all points K1 to K4 are reached.
• Confirm that the key depth for K1 is 2.7 mm.
Adjustment is usually not required except when replacing the sensor unit. When replacing the sensor
unit, adjust the sensor height so that when black keys are depressed the gap between the top of the sen-
sor and the bottom of black keys is 3.5–4 mm, and then carry out sensor calibration as described below.
Key Sensor Calibration
This key sensor has a calibration function.
You can use the following procedure to access Maintenance mode, set K1-K4 for each key, and write to flash
memory.
Normally this procedure is not necessary, but should be executed in the following cases.
1. If for some reason the key sensor was exchanged.
2. If the relative position of the keyboard and sensor changed significantly due to performing the Key
Height Adjustment or Key Depth Adjustment.
3. If there is unevenness in the volume of each key, and there were significant discrepancies when K1-K4
were checked in sensor test mode.
Preparations: Remove the top board, upper front board, and key stop rail.
