6. Thermo unit
S
Remove the thermo unit from the thermostat
housing.
S
Connect the pocket tester (
Ω
1) to the ter-
mo unit
as shown.
S
Immerse the thermo unit in a container filled
with coolant
.
Make sure the hermo unit terminals do not
get wet.
S
Place a thermometer
in the coolant.
S
Slowly heat the coolant, and then let it cool to
the specified temperature indicated in the
table.
S
Check the thermo unit for continuity at the
temperatures indicated in the table.
Replace the thermo unit.

7. Coolant temperature warning light

Check the LED for continuity.
CONTINUITY
Replace the meter assembly.
NO CONTINUITY

8. Voltage
S
Connect the pocket tester (DC 20 V) to the
meter coupler.
S
Turn the main switch to “ON”.
S
Check the voltage (12 V).
The wiring circuit from the main switch to me-
ter coupler is faulty, repair it.
