Key the transmitter, then adjusting the [MPVD]
ring
for 110 W on the Wattmeter.
Unkey the transmitter, then rotate the [MPVD]
ring so that the parameter indication “10” in-
crease.
Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align
-
ment parameter “4-007 I-ALC 21” for the 21
MHz amateur band's ALC Adjustment.
Key the transmitter, then adjusting the [MPVD]
ring
for 110 W on the Wattmeter.
Unkey the transmitter, then rotate the [MPVD]
ring so that the parameter indication “10” in-
crease.
Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align
-
ment parameter “4-008 I-ALC 24” for the 24
MHz amateur band's ALC Adjustment.
Key the transmitter, then adjusting the [MPVD]
ring
for 110 W on the Wattmeter.
Unkey the transmitter, then rotate the [MPVD]
ring so that the parameter indication “10” in-
crease.
Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align

Key the transmitter, then adjusting the
[MPVD] ring for 60 W on the Wattmeter.
Unkey the transmitter, then rotate the
[MPVD] ring so that the parameter indica

tion “10” in-crease.
Press and hold in the [S.MENU] button to save
the new setting and exit the alignment mode.
ALC Meter Adjustment
Connect the 50-Ohm Dummy Load and Watt
-
meter to the “ANT 1” jack.
Press and hold in the [MODE], [SSB] and [CW]
keys, while turning the radio on, to enter the
alignment mode.
Set the Main Band frequency to 14.200 MHz in
the CW-USB mode.
Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align
-
ment parameter “4-089 100W TXG 14”.
Rotate the [MPVD] ring so that the
parameter
indication
“255”.
Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align
-
ment parameter “4-087 100W FALC 14”.
Rotate the [MPVD] ring so that the
parameter
indication
“0”.
Key the transmitter
, then rotate the [MPVD]
ring for 100 W (+5W/–0W) on the Wattmeter.
Unkey the transmitter
.
Set the USB mode.
Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align
-
ment parameter “4-215 ALC MTR”.
Set the MIC GAIN to “50”.
Connect the Audio Generator
to pin 8 of the MIC jack (pin 7:
GND), then set the output lev
-
el to 0.5 mV @1 kHz.
Press and hold the PTT button,
then adjust the Audio Generator output level to
the position where the ALC meter just starts to
deflect.
Release the PTT button.
Increase the Audio Generator output level by
“4.5 dBm”.
Press the PTT button, then press the [MULTI]
knob
while pressing and holding in the PTT
button.
Release the PTT button.
Press the PTT button,
while pressing and hold
-
ing in the PTT button
, then rotate the [MPVD]
ring to set “S9+20” on the ALC meter zone.
Press the [MULTI] knob
while pressing and
holding in the PTT button.
Release the PTT button, then press and hold in
the [S.MENU] button to save the new setting
and exit the alignment mode.
