ALIGNMENT -24
REV-ALC Adjustment

Connect the 100-Ohm (FTDX101MP) or 16.6-
Ohm (FTDX101D) Dummy Load to the “ANT 1”
jack.

Press and hold in the [MODE], [SSB] and [CW]
keys, while turning the radio on, to enter the
alignment mode.

Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align
-
ment parameter “4-204 REV ALC 1.8”.

Press and hold the PTT button, then rotate the
[MPVD] ring so that the PO meter (on the front
panel) reading is FTDX101MP (150 W (+0 W/-20
W)) or FTDX101D (50 W (+0 W/-20 W)).

Press the [MULTI] knob, then release the PTT
button.

Perform the same procedures for the Alignment
Menus “4-205 REV ALC 3.5” through “4-213
REV ALC 50”.

Connect the 16.6-Ohm (FTDX101MP) Dum


Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align

ment parameter “4-214 REV ALC 70”.

Press and hold the PTT button, then rotate
the [MPVD] ring so that the PO meter (on
the front panel) reading is 25 W (+0 W/-20
W).

Press the [MULTI] knob, then release the
PTT button.

Press and hold in the [S.MENU] button to save
the new setting and exit the alignment mode.
FM MAX Deviation Adjustment

Connect the Dummy Load, Wattmeter, and De
-
viation Meter to the “ANT 1” Jack.

Set the value of Menu item (RADIO SETTING
→
MODE FM
→
MIC GAIN) “MIC GAIN” to
“50”.

Connect the Audio Generator
to pin 8 of the MIC jack (pin 7:
GND), then set the output lev
-
el to 5 mV @1 kHz.

Press and hold in the [MODE],
[SSB] and [CW] keys, while turning the radio
on, to enter the alignment mode.

Rotate the [MULTI] knob to select the align
-
ment parameter “4-216 FM DEV”.

Press and hold the PTT button, then rotate the
[MPVD] ring for 4.5 kHz (±0.2 kHz) on the De
-
viation Meter.

Release the PTT button.

Rotate the Main Tuning Dial knob to select the
alignment parameter “4-217 FM-N DEV”.

Press and hold the PTT button, then rotate the
[MPVD] ring for 2.25 kHz (±0.1 kHz) on the De
-
viation Meter.

Release the PTT button.

Press and hold in the [S.MENU] button to save
the new setting and exit the alignment mode.
