3.5 Pause time
The pause time is the time that the pump is on standby in the hand mode or in the automatic
mode. The pump does not operate during the pause time.
The minimum and maximum pause time always have priority over other start and stop
signals.
3.5.1 Maximum pause time
The maximum pause time is the maximum time that the pump is on standby.
• The value of the Maximum pause time parameter is configurable.
3.5.2 Minimum pause time
The minimum pause time is the minimum time that the pump is on standby.
• The value of the Minimum pause time parameter is configurable but has a fixed
minimum. It is not possible to configure the parameter to zero.
• The minimum pause time prevents the pump from an immediate start after a stop.
3.5.3 Calculated pause time
When the controller is in the automatic mode, it uses an algorithm to calculate the pause
time.
When the pump stops, the controller calculates the inflow with input from the following
parameters:
• The run time of the previous pump cycle
• The pause time before the previous pump cycle
The calculated pause time is limited by the Minimum pause time and the Maximum pause
time parameters.
3.5.4 Level settings
The value of the Level settings parameter is used to calculate the pause time. The
parameter does not define the water level in the well. When a higher parameter value is
used, the pause time increases and more water accumulates.
