5.3 Diagnosis on Mercedes SBC

EPB400 is designed to deactivate/activate SBC functions, read/clear

SBC trouble codes, change brake fluid/bleed brake system, inspect 

brake air, and retrieve ECU information on Mercedes vehicles that are 

equipped with SBC system.

√ For instructions on reading/erasing codes, and 

deactivation/activation of brakes, please refer operation steps 

on page 23-28 in 

5.1.2 Individual Functions

5.3.1 Change Brake Fluid

DO NOT operate the brake pedal until you are prompted to!

Make sure the central lock is deactivated!

Use extreme caution during the whole bleeding process as 

the pressure of pump bleed screw will be up to 100 bar!

To change brake fluid:

1. Connect a charger to vehicle battery.

2. Prepare at least 2.0 liters of brake fluid and pour the liquid into
