Always inspect fall protection equipment before each use to ensure it
functions properly. If any defects are found, the equipment may not be

1. General
Congratulations on purchasing this quality
XSPlatforms product. With this purchase, you
now possess one of the highest quality sys-
tems currently available on the market.
The self retractable lanyard can be easily used
in the vertical position. If the fall arrest device
is equipped with a wire rope, it can also be
used in the horizontal position.
The user is directly attached to the fall arrest
device which smoothly winds and unwinds
hazard-free. If a fall occurs, the fall arrest
device will block and stop the fall.
You must be qualified and/or otherwise compe-
tent in the use this product. If not, you may
only use it under the direct supervision of a
qualified person.
The purchaser/owner is obligated to inform the
user of the contents of this user manual.
2. Technical information
Standard
All XSPlatforms fall arrest devices comply
with EN 360 (Personal protective equipment
against falls from a height - Retractable type
fall arresters)
Testing of the fall arrest devices is conducted
in accordance with EN 364.
Only a limited number of requirements speci-
fied in this standard for fall arrest devices are
discussed in this user manual. Copies of the
complete standards can be obtained from
XSPlatforms. This user manual is limited to
instructions for the correct and safe use of fall
arrest devices.
Technical description
Fall arrest devices from XSPlatforms have been
designed using the most recent developments
in the industry and our years of experience in
fall protection. Extra emphasis is placed on
producing a product that is safe and provides a
high degree of user comfort.

3. Before use
This fall arrest device must be inspected be-
fore each use for damage such as:
• Cracks, splitting or warping of metal
components
• Tears, loose stitching or other damage to
fabric ropes
• Evidence of wear (thinning, deformation,
fraying)
• Significantly soiled and unable to clean
• Signs of melting or exposure to heat
• Buckles that do not work properly or have
defective mechanisms
If a defect is found, or in case of doubt, always
contact the supplier or XSPlatforms.
Attention:
It is strictly forbidden for any repairs to be
completed on a fall arrest device by the owner/
user!
