Loading Envelopes in the Bypass Tray
You can load one envelope at a time in the bypass tray.
1.
Slide open the width guides.
2.
Place an envelope in the bypass tray using one of the following methods:
−
Insert No. 10, DL, or Monarch envelopes with the print side up, flaps closed and facing down,
and the flap side to the right.

Insert C5 envelopes with the print side up, flaps open and facing away from the printer.
Notes:
•
To prevent wrinkling on No. 10, DL, C5, or Monarch envelopes, load them print side up, flaps
open and facing away from the printer.
•
When you load envelopes long-edge feed, ensure that you specify landscape orientation in the
print driver.
3.
Adjust the bypass tray width guides to rest against the edges of the envelope.
