DocuSP 2.1 to 3.6 Differences Document
TIPS/IPDS Gateway
The DocuPrint 75/90 IPDS Printing System (TIPS) software is
available for the DocuSP 3.6 release.
TIPS is a separate IPDS imaging subsystem with a graphical
user interface. Integration of TIPS with DocuSP is similar to the
Tape Client except that the software is sold and distributed
separate from DocuSP.
TIPS Option Overview:
· New IPDS mode subsystem; separately installed and
licensed. IPDS input via bus and tag or network, and
PostScript output to the DocuSP.

New universal Bus and Tag GroupeSet driver; IPDS
capability added to the existing LCDS function.
·
New TIPS GUI; this will also invoke and shutdown the
subsystem. TIPS GUI will be started via a main menu
selection in the DocuSP Server GUI.
· New TIPS Installation Script with updates to licensable
features and gateway.

· A modified License Manager GUI

The DocuSP GUI has been adjusted to enable the
TIPS GUI (only if the TIPS GUI software is installed
and the appropriate license is enabled and active).

New universal Bus and Tag GroupeSet driver.

Backward compatible interfaces for the LCDS
environment.
· IPDS Gateway product is self-contained in a
separate CD.
