Reposition Output
The feature "Reposition Output" has been added to the DocuSP
3.6 software. This feature allows a user to reposition the output
page printing on a job. On legacy printing systems this is called
"spacing".
For example, a job with 20,000 unique impressions can be
paused at page 10,001 and spaced back, or repositioned, to print
page 9,050 with nearly no impact to performance.
Since the target workflow for Reposition Output is a large or
indefinite sized, unfinished, 1-N job, complicated publishing type
applications are not appropriate for this feature.
It is important to note that the printer has to be paused to use this
feature. Then the user inputs reposition values and selects “start
spacing”. Upon receiving the message “Output has been spaced
successfully” the GUI will update with a new location. The user
selects “resume” to continue at this point.
Reposition Output is accessed through the Printer drop-down
menu.
