When Export/Purge is enabled, the user may enter and select
Auto Export Path and Auto Export Format (either "name-value
pairs" or "record layout definition").
Industry Standard Delimited Database File Format
An option has been added to export the accounting data in a
database-friendly format. This option allows export in a fixed
semi-colon delimited format that easily imports into popular
software tools, such as databases and standard spreadsheets,
without manipulation. This reduces the need for third party
conversion software.
This new format is called “semi-colon and record layout format”.
This format includes ALL fields for a given record including empty
records with each record separated by a semicolon. A semicolon
is present even if a specific field is empty. This creates an equal
number of fields for each record, and facilitates import into
common database/spreadsheet packages.
