Scan Service Overview
The machine is capable of scan services.
The following functions are available by using the scan services.

Scan to Mailbox

Note • This feature does not appear for some models. An optional package is necessary. For
details, contact our Customer Support Center.
• E-mail, Job Template Scanning, and Job Flow Scanning are only supported by ApeosPort
550 I/450 I/350 I.
„ E-mail
Scanned documents can be converted into an electronic format and transmitted via E-
mail.
„ Scan to Mailbox
Documents which you want to take in as data can be scanned and stored into a
mailbox. Stored documents can be accessed from network computers.
In addition to scanned documents, documents received by the Remote Mailbox feature
from other fax machines can be retrieved from a mailbox.
„ Job Template Scanning
A job template is a configuration file for defining scanning conditions. You can apply a
job template to a scanned document on the machine. The scanned document will be
saved to the hard disk of the machine and then sent automatically to the computer
(server) such as an FTP or SMB server connected to the network. CentreWare Scan
Service (optional) is required to create job templates and set a forward destination.
„ Scan to FTP/SMB
When the machine is connected to a network, scanned data can be stored on network
computers using the FTP or SMB protocol.
Documents which you want to take in as data can be scanned and stored on network
computers.

Job Flow Scanning
You can perform scanning using a job flow processing a scanned document from a
network computer with CentreWare EasyOperator.
