MS2000 Device Menu
The MS2000 device menu displays status information on the different modes of
the inverter/charger. The first three lines of the device screen displays dynamic
content that changes, depending on what operation mode that the MS2000 is in.
Status information is not configurable; configurable items are indicated by square
brackets [ ]. An asterisk indicates the value that was previously set.
For example, in Figure 3-7, the MS2000 is in invert mode with AC current going
out.
Mode
The first line indicates which mode that the MS2000 is in. Table 3-1 defines the
different modes.

Description
Bulk Charge
The first stage of three-stage battery charging. Current
is supplied to the batteries at a constant rate while
voltage gradually rises.
Absorption Charge
The second stage of three-stage battery charging.
Voltage remains constant and current reduces as the
battery becomes charged. This ensures complete
charging.
Float Charge
The third stage of three-stage battery charging. After
batteries reach full charge, charging voltage is
reduced to a lower level to prevent gassing and to
prolong battery life. This stage is often referred to as a
maintenance charge. Rather than charging a battery, it
keeps an already-charged battery from discharging
while providing load current.
Invert
The MS2000 is converting DC power to AC power.
