OPERATING GUIDELINES

General Set-up & Use

1.  Before turning on the unit, choose the nozzle that will be used and

install it on the gun. (see page 9 for how to change nozzles).

Note: All new nozzle tips have solder in the tip hole to prevent

oxidation during first use. Once the unit heats up, the solder

will melt and reveal the hole.

2.  Ensure that the desolder gun is in the holder.

Note: The desolder gun needs to be in the holder

EVERY TIME

the unit is started. This is a saftey feature and the unit will not work

correctly if this is not followed.

3.  Ensure there are no obstructions or blockages in the desolder gun

and/or attachments.

4.  Turn on the the switch on the front of the unit.
5.  Set the desired temperature by pressing the Temperature

Increase or Decrease Button until the desired temperature

displays on the screen.

6.  IMPORTANT:

After the Desoldering Gun has reached its set

temperature, PLEASE ALLOW another 2 minutes to fully preheat

before using the desoldering gun. Failure to do so may cause

clogging.

7.  When the desolder gun is in the holder and inactive for 1 minute

(the default setting or whatever the sleep timer is set at) the unit

will go to into “Sleep Mode” and cool down to 392°F / 200°C.

8.  To activate the desolder gun after it has been in “Sleep Mode”

pull the trigger and then allow it to warm back up to the set

temperature.

9.  After using the desoldering gun, place it back into the holder.

10.  When finished using the unit, the power can be turned off.

Note: If the unit will not be used for more than 12 hours, the unit

should also be unplugged from the wall as a safety precaution.
