Terminal Firmware Upgrades
Using the SNMP Network Administration Dialog Box
To invoke this dialog box:
1.
Press the
F2
key to invoke the
Terminal Properties
dialog box.
2.
Click on the
Apps
tab to invoke the
Apps
properties sheet.
3.
Click on the
SNMP Network Administration
command button.
The following table discusses the functions of this dialog box.

Function
Description
SNMP
Communication
Use this group box to set up SNMP communication
using the following functions:
Enable Authenticating Failure Trap
Check this box to enable the authenticating failure trap.
Community
Use this group box to configure the network
management of a community.
Get
This field takes the name of the community the SNMP
management software will manage with read
permission only. If this field is left blank, the community
for that terminal will be public. The default for this field
is
Public
.
Set
This field contains the name of the community the
SNMP management software will manage with write
permission. By default, the set community that the
terminal belongs to is called
WBTADMIN
. The default
for this field is
WBTADMIN
.
Note
All
Get
and
Set
names are case sensitive and
lower case.
Trap Destination
Server 1:
,
Server 2:
,
Server 3:
, and
Server 4:
are
fields that supply the names or IP addresses of the
servers to which the terminal sends SNMP traps.
