C. Relay/Simulcast

Mode

Relay-Simulcast mode combines the functions of Relay Mode and Simulcast Mode. It allows you

to establish an automatic radio link with two other locations that have radios tuned to different

frequencies in different frequency bands, and allows you to transmit to those same locations

simultaneously. You can establish relay/simulcast operation as follows.

(1)  From the HOME page select the desired channel for FM1.

(2)  From the HOME page select the desired channel for FM2.

(3)  Press the MODE button until the following display page appears.

(4)  Select the RELAY/SIMULCAST MODE by high-lighting the option and pressing the

ENTER button. The unit will now enter the RELAY/SIMULCAST mode and the display

will look like the one below:

(5)  Now the unit will RELAY between FM1/FM2 and it will also SIMULCAST on both

transceivers when the operator chooses either FM1 or FM2 audio panel positions.

(6)  To exit the RELAY/SIMULCAST MODE, simply press the HOME button.
