Zero adjustment and calibration
Before calibrating in pH buffer solutions, the measuring tip has to be watered
and the zero point of the sensor has to be adjusted (zero adjustment).
Watering the
sensor
l
Place the sensor with the measuring tip in a vessel with 3 mol/l KCl
solution for at least 10 minutes. The pH sensitive area and the junction
must be completely submersed in the solution while doing so.

Subsequently, thoroughly rinse the measuring tip with deionized water
and shake off the water.
Note
If you do not have any 3 mol/l KCl solution you can also water the measuring
tip in pH 7 buffer solution. For precise measurements, however, we
recommend to use 3 mol/l KCl solution (solution see section 5 M

).
