Tracking The Blade
1.
Make sure the middle blade housing cover is closed and all persons are clear of the open
side of the saw head.
2.
Start the engine (or motor).
3.
Pull lightly on the clutch handle, rotating the blade until the blade positions itself on the
wheels.
WARNING!
Do not spin the blade wheels by hand.
Spinning the blade wheels by hand may result in serious
injury.
4.
Release the clutch handle to stop the blade. Turn off the engine, remove the key and
check the position of the blade on the blade wheels.
See Figure 2-6.
Position 1 1/4” wide blades so the gullet is 3.0 mm (0.12”) out from the
edge of the blade wheel (± 1.0 mm [0.04”]). Position 1 1/2” blades so the gullet is 4.5 mm
(0.18”) out from the edge of the blade wheel (± 1.0 mm [0.04”]).
5.
To adjust where the blade travels on the blade wheels, use the cant control shown in
Fig-
If the blade is too far out, back the blade onto the wheel by turning the cant control coun-
terclockwise. If the blade is too far in, turn the cant control clockwise until the gullet of the
blade is the correct distance from the front edge of the wheel.
