To Turn Logs
1.
Use cant hooks or the optional log turner to rotate the log on the sawmill bed. See
Log
Turner Manual
.
2.
Spin the log against the side supports until it is turned the way you want it for the first cut.
If you want to turn the log more, do the following steps.

Clamp the log against the side supports.
4.
Lower the turner arm below the log.
5.
Raise the turner arm to get a new bite on the log.
6.
Disengage the clamp.
7.
The log can be turned now. Repeat steps 4 through 7 until the log is turned as desired.
To Clamp Logs
1.
Position the log clamp in the bracket in the hole closest to the log.
2.
Move the clamp down far enough so that it is below your first few cuts. Pivot the clamp so
that it moves the log firmly against the side supports. Lock the clamp in position with the
locking chain.
