Drive off: Release drive handle (5).

• Press primer if the engine does not start in cold weather.
• If the engine has failed because of a lack of fuel, refill fuel. Press primer three times.
Mowing (fig. B10)
Always mow using throttle lever setting OECO or Power.
Mow with throttle lever on „Betrieb“ position. Start engine with mower placed on level and firm ground. Turn Mower on lawn area
already mown. Do not leave mower standing with engine running for longer than absolutely necessary.
Empty catcher bag (fig. B11)
Only when mower is stionary and rotating blade has come to complete standstill.
Level indicator: the flap is lowered if the catcher bag is full (see illus.). Clean the apertures under the level indicator regularly
using a hand brush in order to ensure correct function.
Disconnect spark plug cap and starter key (with electric-start-models) before proceeding!
Clean mower thoroughly after each mowing with cloth or brush (fig. W1/W2).
Do not spray with water. Keep mower in a dry room.
Change oil only
While engine is warm and fuel tank empty.
Change oil after 5 working hours for the first time. After every 25 working hours from then onwards and at the end of the mowing season.
More frequently if working under extreme and dusty conditions. Remove oil filling cap, tilt machine slowly to side and allow oil to drain from
the crankcase.
Cleaning of Spark Plug
Check and clean and regulary, as required (0,76 mm).
Cleaning of air filter
See the operating instructions of the motor manufacturer (enclosed).
Cleaning operations and blade change (fig. W1)
Tilt the mower towards rear for cleaning operations and blade change: Detach spark plug cable. Fold upper part of handle forwards
(avoid damage to Bowden cables).
Change of Cutter blades (Abb. W3)

Disconnect spark plug cap and starter key (with electric-start-models) before proceeding!

Change of blades only be carried out by an approved service station.
•
Gloves should be worn at all times when working on the blade. Remove ignition key and spark plug lead when working on the
blade.
•
Damaged blades should always be replaced in pairs to ensure even balance.
Winter storage
• Drain fuel tank.
• Drain carburettor: therefore start engine, keep it runninug until it automaticalli switches off.
• Clean the whole machine thoroughly
• Change oil, 4-stroke engine.
• Prepare engine for winter storage as follows:
- Remove spark plug. Poor one spoon full of engine oil into spark plug hole. Pull starter rope slowly to distribute oil evenly inside
cylinder.
- Replace spark plug but do not connect spark plug lead.
- Pull starter rope until resistance is felt (valves are now closed)
• Store mower in a cool and dry place.

Adjusting the clutch Bowden cable - Concept 43/47 BA/BAi (fig. W4)
Lift the drive bar (1) approx. 2 cm and hold. Loosen counternut (2) and turn adjusting screw (3) anticlockwise until the drive wheels block
when the mower is pulled backwards. Tighten counternut (2) firmly.
Charging the battery - Concept 43/47 BAi
The motor has a built-in charging unit. Therefore, the battery is constantly recharged, as in an automobile.

Batteries contain lead and must be disposed of in the correct manner. Have defective batteries disposed of by
a specialist workshop. Batteries must be removed from the unit before scrapping (disposal).
