2 Introduction
The OXYBABY
®
is an ergonomic, cordless, one-hand oxygen and carbon dioxide analyser, used
for the preventive inspection of the shelf life of a food packed in modified atmosphere packaging
(MAP). It has a measuring range of 0 per cent by volume to 100 % per cent by volume O
2
or CO
2
in
non-combustible and non-aggressive gases, and can be used for determining the carbon dioxide
content as well as the residual oxygen content in food packaging.
Caution!
The device is not designed to be used in potentially explosive areas and may not be used
for measurements which involve burnable gases.
The OXYBABY
®
comes with an internal data memory for readings (ring buffer, for maximum num-
ber of data records refer to the Chapter on Technical data 14), which are retained in the memory
even when the device is switched off.
If the rechargeable battery is spent,
-
the stored data is retained (e.g. product, user, manufacturing date),
-
the data and time are retained for approx. one week (buffer capacitor).
The measured values can be copied to your PC using the optionally-available software for the
WITT Logger.
The OXYBABY
®
is equipped with a needle cover to protect the user.
