RF amplifier - single output stage
4.5 Firmware update
You can use the
WISI
HFC- (see section 3.2 on page 7) to update the
amplifier‘s firmware via a bluetooth connection. If there is a red mark on the menu
item for the firmare update, an new software is available for your amplifier.
NOTE
: Although all user settings will be restored after the update, signal transmission
will be affected temporarily during the update process!
1. Enter the
update menu
.
2. You will be informed whether the most current firmware is already installed or if
there is an update available for your amplifier.
3. If the suggested firmware name obviously does not fit your amplifier type, or if the
processor is stuck in bootloader mode, you can
enter the expert mode
in order
to choose an image file for the upload.
NOTE
: Wrong firmware selection may cause malfunctions!
4. There is a direct link to the

on our support website wisiconnect.tv.
5. Tapping the „Update“ button will start the update process. The firmware upload
can take up to 10 minutes. Avoid disturbing the bluetooth connection during the
update process: Leave the HFC manager app active on the android system, do not
make or take calls, and stay within the reach of the bluetooth connection.
6. Once finished, the app will show a message on the outcome of the update process.
In order to reconnect to the updated device, you will have to restart the app.
