The optional spectral monitoring module WISI VX 58 B provides a spectrally resolved 
level measurement. VX 52 B / VX 53 B leverages this for three main functionalities:
1. Spectral monitoring of the output downstream signal,
2. automatic level and slope control (ALSC) / pilot regulation, and
3. auto-alignment of downstream and upstream signal paths.

4.4.1  Spectral monitoring

VX 58 B makes use of an RF tuner for spectrally resolved level measurements of the 
amplifier‘s downstream output signal. Thus, the device can provide a quick and simple 
overview of the output signal on its user interfaces, without the need for external 
measurement equipment.
