Abridged instructions OKTOPUS
GL-K800

Coupling to the crane
(1) For wall or roof installation attach the OKTOPUS
to the crane hook.
(2) If necessary erect scaffolding for the installation.

Putting the OKTOPUS
into operation
(1) Place the OKTOPUS
®
on the load!
(2) Turn the main switch to the "ON“ position!
(3) Push the switch SUCTION / RELEASE toward SUCTION!
(4) Check the charge level of the battery on the charge indicator:
•
if the yellow LEDs lights up, the device is ready for operation,
•
if the yellow LEDs flash or the red LED already lights up charge the battery.
(5) Check the vacuum pressure on the vacuum gauges (permissible green range -0.65
to -0.9 bar):
•
if the pressure is on one or both gauges in the red range, the alarm is activated
and the vacuum must first build up.
•
if the pressure is on both gauges in the green range, the unit is ready for
operation!

Instructions for use
(1) Preparing the construction elements:
•
Check the element surface on the contact areas: smooth, impervious to air,
clean, dry, without protective film.
(2) Lifting the elements:
•
Place the OKTOPUS
®
on the element.
•
Push the switch SUCTION / RELEASE toward SUCTION!

Positioning the elements:
•
Raise/erect the elements with the lifting operation of the crane.
•
Position the elements by driving and lifting movement of the crane and
simultaneous manual guiding of the element by the fitter.
•
Fasten the elements to the wall surface.
(4) Release the OKTOPUS
®
from the elements:
•
raise the switch SUCTION / RELEASE somewhat and push it toward RELEASE.

Taking the unit out of operation
•
Lower the OKTOPUS
®
with the crane.
•
Cut the connection between OKTOPUS
®
and crane.
•
Turn the main switch to the “OFF” position.
•
If the unit is to be taken out of operation for several days, connect an operational
charger.
