Electrical and electronic components
The OKTOPUS
GL-K800 is running with a maintenance-free lead-gel-battery (acidic). The
battery casing is hermetically sealed.
Maintenance work is reduced to:

daily inspection of the external electrical function and alarm devices:
•
Red warning light,
•
Green signal light.
⇒
checking the charging level of the battery on the charge indicator (refer to Fig. 5).

charging the battery
A 24 V / 5 A charger for charging the battery is supplied by the manufacturer of the
OKTOPUS
®
system (Fig. 16).

Never use a different charger to charge the battery.
The batteries has to be charged as follows:
•
Switch off the OKTOPUS
. For it push the switch SUCTION / RELEASE to RE-
LEASE (see Fig. 7) and turn the main switch to the “OFF” position!
•
Connect the charger plug to the battery socket for charging.
•
Connect the power plug to the mains supply (90-250 V / 45-65 Hz) over a socket to
start the charging procedure.
•
The charging procedure is finished when the yellow LED is continuously on.
•
Use the following procedure to separate the connection between the charger and
the battery:
1. Separate the charger from the mains supply.
2. Separate the connection between the charger and the battery socket.
