SECTION 10 –
SLIDEOUT ROOMS AND LEVELING
10-6
The
large
solenoid valves control the
leveling
jacks.
The
small
valves contol the
slideout rooms.
•
The solenoid valves are opened by turning a
small 1/4”
nut
at the end of each valve shaft.
Pry out the protective plastic cap to access the
nut. (Replace cap after servicing.)
•
Use the 1/4” nut driver built into the the end of
the shaft of the oil reservoir breather/fill cap as
shown.
•
Open the slideout solenoid valves 3-4 turns to
relieve hydraulic line pressure.
See the Leveling System/Room Extension
Operator’s Manual in your InfoCase for
specific instructions on which valves to open
for front or rear slideout rooms and what
additional precautions to follow.
•
Do not open any of the large solenoid valves.
These control the coach leveling jacks
.
Step 2: Crank the Room Inward
•
A wrench is used to crank the room inward.
You may use the ratchet wrench supplied with
the coach (in your InfoCase or one of the
storage compartments) or any type of wrench
of the same nut size.
•
Crank-in bolts are located on the outboard
mounting plates of the slideout room as
shown. These plates are located at both ends
of the room inside the compartment doors.
•
Loosen the locking screws below the crank-in
bolts as shown before trying to turn the bolts.

CAUTION
DO NOT LOOSEN THE NUTS MORE
THAN 4 FULL TURNS.
The valve shaft could come out, requiring
valve repair or replacement.
Use 1/4” nut driver built into end of dipstick on pump
reservoir cap to open slideout solenoid valves.
