3403 − 1 Piston − Remove, clean and measure ring grooves
(cylinder liner with antipolishing ring and chrome-
ceramic piston rings)

− Check tightness on piston in situ and with running
oil pump, visual check through scavenge ports
after refitting
3403 − 3 − Dismantling and assembling (open cooling space
& clean same, min. one piston every three years)

3403 − 4 − Check condition of the piston top surface at every piston removal
− Visual check through scavenge ports to piston,
piston rings and cylinder liner
