  7. Assemble cable clamp over the outer jacket of the wire and 

    tighten the two clamp screws. Special Note: For small size round    

    (less than 3/4”) and flat cables, the wire clamp may be inverted.

IF THE GENERATOR IS TO BE USED AS A STANDBY

POWER SOURCE, A MANUAL TRANSFER SWITCH

MUST BE INSTALLED TO SEPARATE THE GENERATOR

AND THE COMMERCIAL POWER LINES.  THE SWITCH

MUST ISOLATE THE GENERATOR FROM THE COM-

MERCIAL POWER LINES AND THE LOAD WHEN THE

GENERATOR IS ON STANDBY, AND MUST ISOLATE

THE COMMERCIAL POWER LINES FROM THE LOAD

AND THE GENERATOR WHEN THE GENERATOR IS

SUPPLYING POWER.  SEE FIGURE 6
