Section 4.4—Resistors
By removing the large glass and aluminum back cover on the rear of the woofer module of
your Alexia Series 2s, you may gain access to the resistors. The back cover is secured by four pres-
sure-fit pins, and requires no tools to remove.
These resistors serve several functions. In rare instances for some installations, it is desir-
able to alter the level of the tweeter to overcome tonal balance problems. If there is a need to
increase the level of the tweeter by 1dB, a 0.5 ohm resistor should be used (4 X 0.5Ω in series/par-
allel). If a decrease in tweeter level is desired, a 1.26 ohms resistor will decrease the level by 1dB
(4 X 1.26Ω in series/parallel).
