Commissioning
We recommend that the SiFlux is first commissioned by nearest Wilo
customer service agent or ask your central customer service depart-
ment.
8.1
General preparation and checking
• Before switching the system on for the first time, check if the wiring
has been done correctly onsite, particularly the earthing.
• Check if the pipe connections are stress-free.
• Fill the system and check visually for leaks.
• Open the shut-off valves on the pumps and in the suction and dis-
charge manifold.
• Open the pump venting screws and slowly fill the pumps with water
so that the air can completely escape.
CAUTION! Damage to the pump!
Dry running will destroy the mechanical seal.
• Make sure that the pump does not run dry.
• Check the direction of rotation of the pumps: switch on briefly and
check whether the direction of the pumps corresponds to the arrow
on the pump label. Change over 2 phases if the direction of rotation is
not correct.
DANGER! Risk of fatal injury!
Electrical shock hazard.
• Switch off the system’s main switch before changing over the
phases.
• Set the required operating parameters at the control device and
according to the enclosed Installation and operating instructions.
8.2
Commissioning the installation
• After all preparations and checks according to section 8.1 “General
preparation and checking” on page 22 have been done, switch on the
main switch and set the control system to the automatic mode.
CAUTION! Damage to the pump!
Danger of damage due to incorrect handling.
• Do not let the pump operate with a closed pressure valve on deliv-
ery side for more than one minute.

Maintenance
• No particular maintenance is recommended for the SiFlux during
operation.
• If required, the mechanical seal can be easily replaced.
• In the case of long periods of frost and a longer stop time, it is recom-
mended to drain the pump with the valve under the manifolds.
CAUTION! Damage to the pump!
Danger of damage due to incorrect handling.
• Fill the pump anytime before restarting it.

Faults, causes and remedies
Safety
Maintenance and repair may only be carried out by qualified per-
sonnel!
It is recommended to have the pump serviced and checked by the
Wilo Customer Service.
DANGER! Risk of fatal injury!
There is risk of fatal injury due to electrical shock when working on
electrical equipment.
• Work on electrical equipment may only be done by electricians
approved by the local electricity supplier.
• Before working on electrical equipment, switch it off and secure it
against being switched on again.
