English INSTALLATION
DANGER of falling!
Work may be necessary directly at the edge of the pit during installation.
Carelessness or wearing inappropriate clothing could result in a fall. There is
a risk of fatal injury! Take all necessary safety precautions to prevent this.
•
The structural components and foundations must be of sufficient stability in order to
allow the product to be anchored securely and functionally. The operator or the supplier
is responsible for the provision of the foundations and their suitability in terms of di-
mensions, stability and strength.
• Observe all regulations, rules and legal requirements for working with and underneath
heavy suspended loads.
• Please also observe the applicable national accident prevention regulations and trade
association safety provisions.
•
Inspect the coating before installation. If defects are found, these must be rectified
before installation.
5.1. Working steps
Installation takes place in the following steps:
1. Mounting the guide pipe bracket
2. Mounting the coupling base
3. Mounting the guide pipes
4.
Mounting the coupling flange
5.2. Basic tasks
Various fastening systems are used when mounting the individual components.
The following section describes how to install the individual systems.
5.2.1. Fastening with bolts and masonry anchors
1.
Mark out the drill holes: Make sure there is sufficient distance to the edge. This must
be at least twice the length of the anchor. This prevents the material from cracking or
chipping.
2. Drill the holes: The size of the hole depends on the size of the anchors. The size is
marked on the anchor. For example, a size 6 anchor requires a hole diameter of 6 mm.
3. Hole depth: An anchor fastening will only hold if it is deep enough to take the bolt.
This means the hole depth depends on the bolt length. The hole should be 5 mm deeper
than the bolt length.
4. Clean the drilled holes: Masonry dust impairs the strength of the anchor. Therefore,
always blow or vacuum out the hole.
5.
Put in the anchor: Put the anchor into the hole until it is flush with the wall. Take care
not to damage the anchor when inserting it.
Damaged or used anchors must always be replaced.
