5.4.1.  Switchgear mains connection

Insert the cable ends of the power supply cable

laid on-site through the threaded cable connec-

tions and secure them accordingly.

Connect the wires to the terminal strip according

to the wiring diagram.

The protective earth conductor (PE) is connected

to the ground rod.

•

Mains connection 1~230 V:

•

Cable: 3-core

•

Wire: L, N, PE

•

Mains connection 3~400 V:

•

Cable: 4-core

•

Wire: L1, L2, L3, PE

• A

clockwise

 rotating field must be present!

5.4.2.  Pumps mains connection

Insert the cable ends of the pump power supply

cable laid on-site through the threaded cable

connections and secure accordingly.

Connect the wires to the terminal strip according

to the wiring diagram.

The protective earth conductor (PE) is connected

to the ground rod.

•

Direct activation 1~230 V:

•

Wire: L, N, PE

•

Direct activation 3~400 V:

•

Wire: U, V, W, PE

• A

clockwise

 rotating field must be present!

•

Star-delta activation:

•

Wire: U1, V1, W1, U2, V2, W2, PE

• A

clockwise

 rotating field must be present!

After the pumps have been connected correctly,

the motor protection needs to be adjusted and

the pump enabled.

Adjusting the motor protection

The max. permissible motor current must be set

directly on the overload relay.

• Direct activation

At full load, the motor protection should be set to

the rated current shown on the rating plate.

At partial load, we recommend that the motor

protection be set 5% above the current measured

at the duty point.

• Star-delta activation

Set the motor protection to 0.58 x the rated

current.

The maximum start-up time in star connection is

3 seconds.

Pumps enabled

Set the separate HAND-0-AUTO switch to “AUTO

(A)” in the switch cabinet for each pump. This is

factory-set to the position “0 (OFF)” .

5.4.3.  Winding temperature monitoring connection

Bimetal or PTC sensors can be connected to each

connected pump for temperature monitoring.

Connect the wires to the terminal strip according

to the wiring diagram.

NOTE

No external voltage may be applied!

5.4.4.  Leakage detection connection

A moisture probe can be connected to each con-

nected pump for leakage detection. The threshold

value is fixed in the switchgear.

Connect the wires to the terminal strip according

to the wiring diagram.

NOTE

No external voltage may be applied!

5.4.5.  Connection for level measurement signal trans-

mitter

Level measurement can be performed via three

float switches or a level sensor. Connection of

electrodes is not possible!

Insert the cable ends of the cable laid on-site

through the threaded cable connections and

secure accordingly.

Connect the wires to the terminal strip according

to the wiring diagram.

NOTE

•  No external voltage may be applied!
•  A max. of 2 pumps can be actuated with level

measurement using a float switch.

•  A max. of 4 pumps can be actuated with level

measurement using a level sensor.

5.4.6.  Connection of dry-running protection using a

separate float switch

Dry-running protection can be realised using a

float switch via a potential-free contact. The

terminals are fitted with a converter bridge in the

factory.

Insert the cable ends of the cable laid on-site

through the threaded cable connections and

secure accordingly.

Remove the converter bridge and connect the

wires to the terminal strip according to the wiring

diagram.
